Need Wire Wheels and Hubs for my new 29 Hudson
-
Well I've stepped into a new car--bought Glen Johnson's 29 Hudson Roadster. Its a nice car and I look forward to touring in it. The car has the stock wood wheels and they are a problem as they do not run true. I am hoping to find someone with a full set of wire wheels, hubs, and hub caps that are good enough to restore rather than trying to fix what I have which look pretty good and would be OK on a "collected" rather than "driven" car. Maybe there's even a "parts car" someone wants to move on. I want to show off this Hudson by taking it on pre-war tours as well as Hudson meets.
Any leads would be appreciated.
thanks,
Ivan -
Ivan,
Congradulations on your new 29 Roadster. I must say that it was with a moment of sadness as I watched the car leave our neighborhood here in Utah. I am glad that it found such a good home. Sorry I cannot help you with the wheels, but I hope you enjoy the car as much as I enjoyed being around it. See you in Spokane....Brownie -
Ivan,
Congratulations! Charlie Wallace just got a set of wire wheels for his new '29 through Perry Spring, you should check with both of them for leads on '29 parts. Richard -
Howdy Ivan - try Carl Weber in Mass., Jim Harmon & Dick Riggs in Portland, and also a sometime member out, I believe, in the Yakima area who has about 6 '29s (I sold him my '29 conv. cp.) as I know he has a lot of parts for them.
Jack Smith in Canada had a lot of parts, not sure what happened to them after he died.
Good luck,
Pete -
Photos attached taken this afternoon. I'm excited! Thanks for your encouragement. Please share who has the 29 parts.
