    Metalshapers Gathering in Granbury Texas

    Message:

There will be an informal Gathering of those that are interested in metal shaping in Granbury Texas on May 15th. We will finish working on the motorcycle tank that was started in January, starting to build a front fender from scratch, some work/instruction on the e-wheel, your small project if you have one and just some good old armchair sharing of metal shaping information.

Our host will be at Jason Ferguson’s shop/Texas Bike Works. The address is 1208 Fall Creek Granbury Tex 76049. For a map showing this location see: http://texasbikeworks.com/googlemap.htm
For more information you may contact Gordon (Don) Bartlett at: stingshp@taylortel.net

Since the Gathering itself is free, we suggest contributing $20 each to offset Jason’s expenses for lunch, drinks, donuts/munchies, Ox/Act. gasses, electricity, etc.

Besides your “small project”, please remember to bring your safety gear for hearing, eyes and hands, etc.

Remember! This Gathering is for learning and having mucho fun!

    Thanks for the info.

If possible, please send this info 3 month in advance, so we can change our schedule. Sure would like to come to one of these metal shapers meets. Thanks, Bob

    Bob,
Have I got good news for you!
IF YOU ARE REALLY INTERESTED in shaping metal and maybe building a complete car from scratch or maybe just an Art piece for the home these forums can help. I have no idea where you live but there are Metal Shaping Meets all over the U.S. this year. They are a lot of fun to go to and you learn a lot. Here are a couple of places to do some research on where they are being held.
Check out these in the Events section and you can also contact these guys if you have questions. They are great guys and willing to teach anyone. That's the idea behind these organizations is to freely spread the information of metal shaping.

www.allmetalshaping.com they will be having a major one in Alabama in September plus assorted local meets elsewhere.

They have their International MetalMeet in Oblong, Illinois in October and assorted local meets all over.

www.allshops.org This is the one in Granbury Texas. This will be the 3rd one since January.

Let me know if I can help you further on locating one near you. :D

    Peace,
    Chaz

Thanks Chaz, always enjoy reading your posts. Lots of good stuff and pics.

I live in the north west corner of Alabama, not too far from Huntsville. Should be able to make the Alabama meet. Thanks, Bob
