1965 impala shifter location?
-
Just pulled my new toy out of an old mans barn. Had no motor or trans. installing 350(for now)and th400. Converting it from 3 on tree to console shift. What i need to know for sure is where the exact location for the console shifter and where to cut the hole. Dont want to mess it up. I have the shifter and all parts to change shifter to the th400 except the floor hump and boot so if you have one or no where to get one let me know. Any help would be appreciated.

For the exact location you will need to look in the assembly manual. They are great books to have around if you plan on keeping the car or doing anything to it.
You can try the "Old Car Manual Project" to see if there is anything there, or ask the guys on chevytalk.com They will know.
Good luck with the project.
