Need help with T-10 Identity
-
I have what I think is a T-10 transmission and have no idea what it is. Hope someone can help. Here are the numbers:
On a tag on passenger side: HEG E
024498
On the case: 03AR
7006
F
3K28
Tail piece: 03AB-7A040
DIF
Input shaft has 10 teeth.
The cover has 9 bolts.
I'm pretty sure the case is not aluminum because it is rusty and the transmission is pretty heavy. I am wanting to put it in a 1962 Impala with a 409. Thanks in advance to all that may be able to help. -
What you appear to have is an older model(approx 1973) ford trans. I would have to get into my old ford micro-fiche to try and get you any more info. Try to determine if that first letter is an 'O' or a 'D', i believe it will turn out to be a 'D'.
Let me know if this helps.

Does it look like this???
As Phil has said, is the first letter a "D" or an "O" ?
If it's a D, then D3AB would be a 73 ford trans I think.
