12V Starter for Flathead 6

Will a 58 230 flathead starter motor (12V) bolt up to and work on a 54 230ci (converted to 12V)? Both automatics

Compare the starter gears. Chrysler changed ring gear tooth counts but also changed diameter of the flywheel so the actual tooth pitch may be close. Might just work.
