Headers for sale
-
I have a set of the headers made by Bruce Silva in Sacramento that I want to sell. It turns out that they only work for twin H and I am using a single carb aluminum intake manifold on my 50C6. I paid $850 plus I had them Electro coated (like jet coat) here locally for $180. I will sell them for what I have in them plus postage. They are perfect. my home email is: "richardlauraine@cox.net" phone is (760) 751-0590. I am in Escondido, CA. Let me know if you are interested. I can email you a picture if you are interested. Otherwise I plan to return them to Bruce for a refund. I would like to save him the trouble. Richard Esparza

ok richard i'm curious not interested just curious. Other than the second heat tap, what makes it twin h specific? since that in itself wouldn't pose a problem there must be more to it. I am guessing there is a fuzz more clearence at 3/4 on a twin h intake though it can't be much as they both must match up with the same exhaust casting.

It absolutely won't fit! I considered taking a hammer to it, but decided that would be a travesty, so I am passing this on to someone who can use it. I believe that Bruce only made 10 sets and he doesn't plan to do anymore. I wish that I could use it!

I have known Bruce for years and everything he sells is high quality.

Yeah, I'm curious too... where exactly is the clearance issue? Must be a significant dimensional difference somewhere between the single and dual carb intake... :confused:Workin Stiff -

Single-carb, I bet it's a factory '48-49 unit, Walt...Workin Stiff -
I think I would look into another intake before I dumped a set of $1000 headers?
I never get what I paid for any high dollar car parts???
Good luck

For a stepdown 6 cyl, a dual outlet exhaust manifold adapter for $175 sound pretty reasonable. Just for consideration. Hudsonly, Bob

FYI
I suggest modifying the Intake Manifold if possible, or install a Twin H Intake rather than sell those beautiful Headers. -
Hudson 308, you are correct. I am using a '48 - '49 Hudson aluminum intake manifold. It is polished up and it looks great. It is not compatible with the exhaust system that was used on the Twin H. I really am not interested in installing Twin H, that is why the headers are for sale. Apparently there are no takers, so I will return them to Bruce Silva.
