Hey guys....not rocket science, but if you ever need to weld up holes on a frame or something else where you can't easily get to the back side, the following worked pretty well for me. Here I'm welding up the steering box holes in the frame that I won't be needing since I'm putting a rack and pinion set up in.



First cut out some small flat pieces of sheet or bar stock (in this case I had a bunch of electircal box knock-outs). Then either spot weld or tack-weld on a piece of wire and "fish" it up the frame and through the hole. Then tack the filler piece in while holding it tight against the back side of the hole with the wire. Here you can see me holding the wire and couple more "made up" pieces sitting on top of the frame:





Tack them all in, and weld them up:





Then grind them smooth. I ended up having to go back and fill in some low spots, but it can look great if you take your time!!
