Hello all, first off id like to introduce myself. My name is John, im 24 and a full time student. I just traded my VW Passat for a 1952 Plymouth Cranbrook with the flat 6 and 3 on the tree. My first question is about the clutch, Im new to the on the tree style, and in 1st gear I cannot get it to move without alot of vibration/clutch chatter. How hard are clutches to replace with these transaxles, and where is a good place to buy parts. Also, what is a good repair manual for this car? Thanks, John

My advice would be to join the national Plymouth club (I believe this is the one: http://www.plymouthbulletin.com/ ). These one-marque clubs are an invaluable resource for finding parts and information, and for tapping into a network of fellow Plymouth owners. There may be a chapter or region of the national club in your area, which it would make sense to join. That way, you may be able to link up with local Plymouth owners who can lend you advice, a hand, maybe even parts. And they'll know the 'good shops' in your area, when you need professional help.
