I just got back. Great show, as always. Saw two Hudsons there. If anyone else went and saw something I didn't I'd love to see pictures.
Notice the one in bare metal has a detail line added on top of the fender to match the head light ring. Super nice work on this chopped brougham. I believe the gentleman who ownes this car (and did the work) refers to himself as Hitch? If I remember right. He's on the forum here once in a while. _126496550148367.JPG)

Thanks for the pictures Guy. I could not make it. Had a date with my 4 yr. old grandson, for his first time at the snow.

No, I didn't see Rick. Met a few new people and saw and old friend. The root beer colored James Hetfield car was really nice. Other than that I think I found the original old race cars and fifty style hot rods the most interesting.
Did you notice the bare metal car pictured above has no center post in the windshield? I think I saw somewhere that he used a '54 front glass. Pretty slick. -

The 54 windshield looks good. I wonder how much body work is required to fit the curved windshield to earlier stepdowns.

BM, did you see "Joe ???" , he worked for Bill A many years ago! He said he was taking a car to the show. I went to the Packard swap meet today, Steve E. & Jason was there also!:confused:

I know joe took his Model A...but I didn't see any photos of his chopped Hudson there at all. -

I talked to Joe for just a minute. He had his roadster with the track style nose there in one of the buildings. Cool car. He said he couldn't get the Hudson in because there were too many people. I think he was talking about the streets inside and around the buildings were loaded with people setting up for the day. It was just too late.
I think the owner of the bare metal Hudson is Dave Hitchinson? From northern California. -

I don't know either. But I did see pictures of it somewhere. I think on the HAMB. If I remember right he used a triangular piece of the roof maybe a foot deep(in the center) and blended into the roof line there. Imagine cutting across the roof from the top of the wind wing to the other wind wing. I wish he would post some of his work here. It's outstanding and he has a no nonsence way of fabricating. All of his work looks like it's well thought out, clean and neat. Like Hudsoncustom's work is as well.
When I say 'no non-sence' I mean you don't see a hundred pie cuts and a bunch of little pieces spliced in everywhere as an after thought.
