Good day to all. I'm new here and I have a 1938 Hudson 2 door that I have had for nine years. I'm trying to get it back on the road. It has been to 3 different body shops and it seems that everyone is trying to screw me. I have the project going the right direction now. I put a mustange front end on it, a small block 327 with a 700 r4 trans, and posi rear end with disc brakes. I'm looking for some information as to where I can get some of the stuff needed to finish the car, window moldings, rubber for the running boards, just to name a few. If anyone has any info could you please help me out. I have a long way to go. Thanks guys:)

    Welcome to the madhouse!
Got any pictures of your car? Always nice to see the cars, and get visuals of what people are doing. If you need any help posting pictures, let me know -

My first suggestion would be to join the Hudson Essex Terraplane Club (www.hudsonclub.org). Bunch of great people, and an award winning magazine/newsletter - great articles, an extended listing of support and vendors, as well as free classifieds - this alone is worth the cost of membership.

You can find most of the rubber parts and pieces that you're looking for at www.k-gap.com, and there are others as well.

    Window channeling, look here:
    http://classiccar.com/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=62&jfile=showthread.php&t=20528&page=2

About mid-way down the page you'll find a member "Victor Z", who does window channeling. Also, if you have any examples of the channeling you need, you might try going to a few auto glass places - they tend to carry this type of thing...

You can always 'use' the main part of this forum for your questions or queries such as the above question(s) about window channeling, rubber, etc., that pertain to the restoration of your ride - (try to keep the 'rodding questions here in this section/area). :D
