Does anyone out there have any experience with this trunk pan??? I could definitely use a new one, but if I'd spend more time modifying this one and trying to get it to fit than fab'ing several patch pieces I'd probably pass.

Don't have any experience with them or the pan, but it looks good, it's actually 18g steel, which is a plus and it's in 3 pieces, so would be easy to modify if you have to.

Additionally, the price is right. For $200, you can't go wrong. If you were to fab a bunch of pieces and fit them into what you've got, it would probably cost you a lot more, at least in time. Wait and see if you get some more responses, but I'd say go for it.

I ordered one for my for my 41 hudson and also front floor replacement pans. The front pans I'm happy with. The rear floor pan is eight inches short and thats with the one inch flange flattened out. Problem is, it's the only pan in town. I really wanted the reinforcement ribs,so I've got some work ahead. I suggest you measure yours and call them to see if it matches since the year is different than mine. Quality of material is good, no splits, fractures. They need to extend there dies out twelve inches for the extra material . Then the price for the pan would be worth it, but if thats all available???

I don't think I would make one for that price. It looks good from the pictures too. I hope you get it and give us some feed back on how you liked it.

They have a website as well. Surprisingly, the eBay price for that floorpan is substantially less than that on their website, in spite of the fact that they would not need to pay eBay fees (?)...

Thanks guys for the inputs. I think the general consensus is that it'll probably be easier to make this one work than cut out my rusted areas and make several patches. At one point I was thinking about using a gas tank that doubles as the floor (like in the early mustangs) then patching in around it where needed. But for a couple hundred bucks.....this looks like the way to go. I'm probably a couple months out from this part of the project, but I'll certainly let you guys know how it goes if I go this route.

It would be really sweet if this just "dropped in there", but I know better than that

Don't forget to add the $60.00 shipping, apparently via Federal Express, to the final cost of the trunk pan. I wonder if the company that makes this stepdown trunk pan would sell just the left side by the fuel tank as that's where I have a three inch hole in my trunk floor on my '50 Pacemaker Deluxe! (there was a leak in the trunk lid that let water seep in to this side years ago) My guess is they probably require you to by the whole thing.

Mention that to them when you order, maybe they'll take a look and adjust their website prices (?) - Hopefully downward... :rolleyes:
