I have a chance to buy a 63 Chevy SS Impala 409 four speed car. It has been sitting outside for 30 years. Bumpers and trim have been removed but are in the car. Owner started an amateur restoration but quit. It appears all parts are with car. Engine has been started several times over the years but has not been started in the last five years. Please advise on what to offer. New member. Malvin Thanks

Without seeing the car or at least several good quality pictures it's almost impossible to say what this may be worth. If everything is there and the car is solid, i.e. no rot in the floors, rockers, trunck, 1/4 panels, front fenders or underside or doors, maybe 5 to $7,000.

Try to find similar cars that are for sale either on e-bay or publications like Old Ride, Hemmings or Cars and Parts and see if you cen decifer what the car may be worth. If you really like the car maybe you could find a local Chevy affitionato that would be wiling to go look at the car with you.

okay i have an odd request... i would like to see a picture of your front dash. I have a fully restored 62' impala, and my grandpa smoked a pipe back in the day and he removed the ashtray so he could attach one of those pipe holding things (i dont know what you would call it) but i need one of the original ones and was wondering if you could send me a picture of yours and of course if you would be willing to part with the part.
