For all you Hudson/Terraplane memorabilia collectors.:):)

Here is a very nice advertising piece for the Hudson & Terraplane. It is a 55" ruler which says; "55 INCHES! Lay this ruler across the front seat of a 1937 Hudson or Terraplane and close both doors... then try it with any other car!"

They could have done a later version for the stepdowns, and raised the length to 64 inches. When I was thinking of upgrading the seats in my Hornet coupe, the block-long '70's Cadillacs and Lincolns would have been about right for the front, but the only rear seat that even came close was the Lincoln Town Coupe from about 1976- it was the only other car whose rear wheel wells were behind the seat, as is the Hudson.

I have that same ruler right here next to me, but it's now only 54" long cuz termites or wood borers got the first 1" from it. I guess three average American behinds would fit in that space back in the lean Great Depression era days, but try squeezing three average American behinds in that today, and you'll have a can of Spam!:eek::eek:
