Water Jacket ID
-
Can anyone ID this Water Jacket? I need one to fit my '33 Essex Terraplane 6 This one is marked Dorman # WJ45 Thanks, Scott
-
Yes, it will fit your car. Just make sure it has the plate inside the recess, with the correct holes for distributing the coolant around theblock. If you're stuck in a hole, stop digging.
-
I was concerned with the outlet being on the bottom?
-
That's the inlet, which connects to the bottom pipe of the radiator. The wzater goes in here, nad is pumped up through the block and head, and the outlet is in the pump, going to the radiator top pipe.
Geoff.If you're stuck in a hole, stop digging. -
Here's a pic of a '33 ET6. Looks like the pipe should be on top?
-
The pic is of a 1936 Terraplane. The '33 has the water pump mounted in the head, and unlet on the bottom of the jacket. If you're stuck in a hole, stop digging.

Thanks. The pic was actually a 33'ET convert, it must have had a 36 engine in it! So the jacket in the original pic shown will work? Does any one have a actual 33 they can post a pic of?
