Wasp and Hornet PROTECTION?
-
Protection for you and your home!
If you don't have a gun, here's a more humane way to wreck someone’s evil plans for you.
Did you know this? I didn't. I never really thought of it before. I guess I can get rid of the baseball bat.
Wasp Spray
A friend who is a receptionist in a church in a high risk area was
concerned about someone coming into the office on Monday to rob them
when they were counting the collection. She asked the local police
department about using pepper spray and they recommended to her that
she get a can of wasp spray instead.
The wasp spray, they told her, can shoot up to twenty feet away and is
a lot more accurate, while with the pepper
Spray, they have to get too close to you and could overpower you. The
Wasp spray temporarily blinds an attacker until they get to the
hospital for an antidote. She keeps a can on her desk in the office
And it doesn't attract attention from people like a can of pepper
spray would. She also keeps one nearby at home for home protection.
Thought this was interesting and might be of use.
On the heels of a break in and beating that left an elderly woman in
Toledo dead, self defense experts have a tip that could save
your life.
Val Glinka teaches self-defense to students at
Sylvania Southview High School . For decades, he's suggested putting a
can of wasp and hornet spray near your door or bed.
Glinka says, "This is better than anything I can teach them."
Glinka considers it inexpensive, easy to find, and more effective than
mace or pepper spray. The cans typically shoot 20 to 30 feet; so
if someone tries to break into your home, Glinka says "spray the
culprit in the eyes". It's a tip he's given to students for decades.
It's also one he wants everyone to hear. If you're looking for
protection, Glinka says look to the spray.
"That's going to give you a chance to call the police; maybe get
out."
Maybe even save a life.
Please share this with all the people in your life.
HAPPY HOLIDAY's -
i thought this was going to be a way to protect my hudson hornet. haha

Yeah, me too- but it is a pretty good idea. I've gotten pretty good at aiming those things, here on the farm, and sounds like they would be pretty effective. Reason they're much easier to aim is the stream is white, and easy to see, so you can home right in on your target. I think it would make an excellent companion to the pistol!

I'll stick with my 870 Remmington thanks.

I prefer the Benelli M4. If it's good enough for the USMC, it's good enough for me!
Wasp Stopper is also effective against dogs.

12 gage is the way to go - tho a 16 or 20 will also do the trick. In my house here in Memphis if I used a powerful handgun, such as a .45 or a magnum, the slug would probably kill some innocent 4 houses away - after the slug traveled thru 3 other houses.
At least with a shotgun you don't have to be particular in aiming - anywhere in the general vicinity will most likely get results. If you miss, the sound of a 12 going off in a closed space is probably enough to scare most people clear out of the state!!!

Aaah, the joys of living in a country where handguns are illegal & very rare even amongst the unlawful. Hunting rifles & shotguns are only available to those who pass the police checks.

Now that is an intresting concept--no hand guns and total gun control. I'm not a cowboy or even a member of the NRA but I still believe in the second admendment and the "pry it from my cold dead hand" concept. As a matter of fact, I think I'll get off this computer and go duck hunting--I was just wondering what would be good for dinner tonight......Brownie

Don't let the taste of lead pellets interfere with the taste of the wild duck!Dave Y

Not to worry, Utah passed a "steel shot" admendment about five years ago. I have been reloading with steel for long before that. By the way, one Mallard and two Goldeneye's. We eat well tonight-the onions are in the pan....Brownie -
Dont forget to pry the board from the duck after cooking it. Good luck, and dont shoot the dog. Bob

Not to mention ya can still get shells for them!!(12Gage)
I like the 870 Remmington. It goes bang everytime and if all else fails you can use it as an effective club? Also load 4 "00" buck and a slug for last. Just incase they get too far away. NOT LIKLEY!!!
Dusty
P.S. The 4-10 shot gun makes a great x-mass gift for the little lady protecting the house also. Not to much recoil -
Hey Rick,
I wish I could afford to get the Judge, but I guess my Taurus model85 38spcl will have to do until I get the 400 bucks to hire the Judge.

), however if I have time my Taurus PT 92 AF (9mm) or Browning Baretta 380 Auto will do.
Speaking of that, I don't like having guns around the house that I am not 'comfortable' with, so I guess I really need to take them out and use them more often... -
Yes, guns are illegal here in Australia as well, the only people who have them are registered owners and crooks, But, people still get shot, naturally by the crooks.

I just got a new Kel Tek .380 Auto- neat little gun, truly a "pocket pistol." Also a concealed weapons permit to go with. Will feel a little safer when I go to the big city, now. May not actually BE safer, but will seem like it!

It would be nice if some of our crooked cryingass political leaders would read your last statement.
Dusty
P.S. If they did I'm sure they could find a way to tax us on it!!!
