I was thinking about getting a fairly bad conditioned car and rebuilding it with my father. What we thought would be best is a 70' mustang with a 302, but other sites gave me other ideas. What would be the best, most reliable classic car to rebuild???

    1) One that you would really like to have.

It will be something that will keep you focused and hopefully will not

    lose interest.

    2) One that has a good network of parts support.

If you find a very complete car it's OK, but if you find a car that does

not have a good parts availability then you will driving yourself

crazy trying to find parts for it.

Oldcar mechanic said it well. Pick one you like so you both will stay interested in the project.

Not to change your mind about the 70, but a 64-66 mustang would be the easiest for a beginner. just about everything is reproduced, reference books are plentiful, and the cars are pretty basic. Check out the Vintage-mustang.com forum for any info you might need. Great bunch of guys.

    Good Luck,
