Gas tank removal
-
I have a 69 Nova with a mild gas leak, only when I fill it up. I'ts probably the neck. Anyways I've read good things about the gas tank renu and it's pretty reasonable. 150 for the renu, and 175 extra if they remove the tank. Is it a hard job removing it? Some things may be worth paying someone else to do if it's a headache. I've wrenched a bit in my life, just nothing in this direction. Thanks for any input.

It just boils down to if you are handy with tools and WANT to do the job.
If you are that unsure and do not have the desire to do it, then let the other guy do it. He will have the mess and agravation.
It's not a terribly difficult job, but you need to excersise caution because you are talking about gasoline. You will need to have a place to put any gas from the tank before you take it all apart.

Thanks, that's where I'm leaning. It may be worth 175 to let someone else get messy and leave me unaggravated. I am handy with a wrench, but hetting lazier in my old age.

I hear the lazy part.
175 is not that bad.
