Will a ford o matic tranny from a 332 fit onto a 272 y block

My ford o matic that is in my car is no good. I have found another ford o matic that came off of a 59 t bird with a 332. My engine is the original 272 y Block. Does anyone know if these two transmissions are interchangable? Thanks for the help in advance.

I'm not sure if they will but I have a Ford-O-Matic in my 56 Customline 4 dr. It's a 272 CID. PM me and we can talk about the whole car.
