Source for 1946 water temp. sensor

I need a source for a water temperature sensor--will this one work? I got it from another thread on the same subject.
Sensor is for a 1946 8-cylinder.

If the thread size is 3/8" x 18NPT like narrow block stepdowns, try a NAPA TS6153 or Standard TS24.
