Actually, that last photo is from a '36 Hudson -- possibly the '36 convertible that was restored by Park Waldrop a few years ago.

Love the photo of the 36 dash. Where might one find a clock such as that? My English Hudson does not have a clock in it and it would sure look nice in my dash...

Could very well be - It was sent to me when I was making inquiries about '38 & '39 dashboards...

Jon, do you know if the picture showing the tail lights is correct? Lenses on both sides? Also, it appears that my 112 did not have turn signals. Would this be right? Thank you in advance, Dave

I was just looking at the '38 pictures in a little more depth. It would appear to me that the trim along both sides was added at some point. Again, would this be correct? Thanks again, Dave

Look closely at the photo, I think you will agree that the "trim" is actually a painted strip.
If you're stuck in a hole, stop digging.

I bought 2 112 hubcaps as part of buying some other Hudson items, got them cheap. They are dented (I think the dents can be straighted) and need rechroming. If you or anyone else is interested I will sell cheap plus shipping, let me know.

It would not have turn signals. Something you might want to consider even with a "Full Restoration."

Yep, most judges (if you're into that) do not take away points for adding features to the car to make safer when you drive. So if you added extra lights or somehow snuck some extra dual filament bulbs into the brake light housings, It wouldn't really take away from the historical accuracy of the car much. If you're keeping the car 6V you can get early period-type turn signal setups with a little digging online or at swap meets. Like an old "signal-stat" unit or something.

You don't need aftermarket turn signal switches or extra filaments at the taillights, to do turn signals in your car (as long as you have two taillights). Just obtain a 6-wire Hudson signal switch from the early 50's (late 40's too, I thnk) . The brakelight filaments then do double duty, and the switch should fit perfectly around your steering column. If you're willing to cut a hole in the column you can even make it self-cancelling. You can use "period" accessory lights up front, or (if you're lucky) find the authentic Hudson accessory front fender lamps and convert them to turn signal duty.

The steering column on the 112 is 1.5" diameter. I believe the steering column on the senior cars is 1.75" (or perhaps 2.00"). That's not to say it wouldn't work but you would have to shim it.

If you are a member of the HET Club, you might look through the roster and call people who have the same year and model that you have. Most folks are more than happy to talk about their cars and some of them, especially the ones who have restored their car, are a valuable source of information. One member in Fla. sent me 20 pictures of their gorgeous '38 112 coupe.

Thanks for the reply Jon. I will take your suggestion into consideration. Dave

    Hello,

"38 112 could be had with one taillight and one wiper (driver') due to its "priceleader" status. Rest were optional ($).
