Need opinions

I'm gettin ready to order the paint for my 74 Firebird. When I bought it, it was red with white SS stripes. Looks great. But I feel strange havin the SS stripes on a Pontiac. It's now time for me to decide and I still can't make up my mind.

I would trash the stripes and just put the bird on the hood---bud
