    PIGEON FORGE, TENNESSEE..................
One week left! don't miss the fun and fellowship of the Hudson people. All the goings on of the Hudsonites, will still be in effect.
Music in the back parking lot unless weather prohibits..then we will move to the parking garage.
I know the economy is tough and people everywhere are having it rough. BUT!, if You want the most fun for the least money, come to the HUDSON'S in the HEARTLAND MEET in Pigeon Forge, TN.
The VACATION LODGE, at traffic light #7, will be happy to accomodate you in any way they can.
    Hope to see you there.................................

Due to my condition, I will only be there on Sat. I plan to stay Sat. night and leave Sunday morning. Of course that is dependent on how I feel.
I will be upstairs in the same room I was in last year.

What's the typical schedule of events for this weekend? I'll only be able to make it the first half of Saturday.

Not bringing a Hudson, just a wife who eventually wants to get one. In fact I think she forgot it's this weekend so it might be a surprise to her.

    Thank you,

    Darren

    Bob,

I was thinking about coming up for a day trip to see if I could generate any interest in the air conditioner brackett I offered for sale a few months back, but the rockslide on this side of the mountain cancelled those plans. Hope you have a good meet.

As a new Hudson owner I would love to make it, but I don't have the money or vacation time for another long trip this year. It would be a round trip of 2000 miles & 30 hours for PIGEON FORGE, TENNESSEE.

But think of all the Hudsons you'll see, Hudsonites you'll meet, HET parts you get to hold in your hand, and best of all you get to see them running up and down the road, might even get a ride. Some good stories are often told, some in jest, some are side splitters. And some are sad, thinking of those that wrecked in a Hudson, not deceased, just bumbed up. If you dont make it this year, plan on coming next year. We make our reservations when we leave this year for next year. Come when you can. Bob

If I-40 is out, just shoot up NC 52 from Greensboro and pick up I-81. I drive that instead of I-40 sometimes and takes about the same time, but much less traffic.

I will be there Thursday and Friday only, leaving Saturday morning. I have to coach a few soccer games on Saturday and the kids want to be home for Halloween :)

Gotta go clean the Pacemaker, the truck won't make it again this year.

    See you there

There was a major rock slide on I-40 in Haywood County (between Asheville and Tennessee state line). Both lanes of I-40 are closed and they're predicting that it will be months before they can get the mess cleaned up.

Honestly, attending this event is on my 'maybe some day' list...

I am still miserable because I was unable to attend the National this year - :(... I am now trying to look forward to 2012 (in PA).

Arrived Wed evening, nice warm weather, shortsleeves after noon, most cars here by Fri, 16 clubs represented, not as many H.E.T's as normal. But lots of old friends and good conversation. Good drooling weather. Several new members signed up. Bob

Here are some more pics. My apologies to anyone that I missed... only spent Friday afternoon and Saturday at meet. I spotted a few cars that I wanted pics of that weren't around on Saturday. One in particular a black 40's something running without hood and front fenders took off before I had a chance to check it. Maybe someone who has pics or knows about that car will post on the forum.

A little (lots) of rain didn't stop these folks... they drive their Hudsons!!!

I just wanted to thank everybody that came to Pigeon Forge. I was quite worried that because of the rock slide, the weather, the economy, and the health of a lot of members, attendance would be
    W
    A
    Y down.............
I was very happy to see how everybody jumped in to help with the set-up. I am so proud of the Smoky Mountain and Mid-South Chapters. I don't think there is anything they cannot accomplish when they try. Thanks to all that had a part in the meet.
What I saw, all day Saturday ( even with the weather ) was HUDSONITES having a good time. I know I had fun and Judy said I was beaming. If it had been Spring/Summer I would have had a mouth full of bugs from grinning so much.
Thanks again for making this possible for me.
You really can't imagine what it meant to me.

It took us a while to get back home and back to the old grind..A foggy wet trip back over the Smoky's via US 441. Rained most of the way back to Florida and been cloudy here ever since we got home yesterday afternoon. A very nice meet considering all the negative things that Bobby mentioned. The Hudson "People" make the difference..

By the way, Bob (BJ) mentioned to me that he was thinking of selling his 54 fourdoor Hornet. So if anyone is thinking of picking up a very nice driver..give him a Jingle..By the way, he DIDN"T ask me to post this.. I may be in the dog house..

Dave is so right. Bob has a 54 Hornet Special sedan with less than 35,000 ORIGIONAL miles for sale. I believe the price is $10,000. For you folks on the sidelines waiting to get a low mileage nice origional car this is it! Really, really nice. BTW the color is light green. That tells us for sure it's an origional Hudson. LOL.

I had a great time at the meet this year. The weather was awesome Thursday & Friday, I had to leave early Saturday morning for soccer games (that were cancelled) and Halloween with the kids, but still had a good time. I didn't get to see all of the people I wanted too, but saw a lot familiar faces and met some new ones.

Missed the boil this year too:(

Thanks to everyone who helped put this together.

Looking forward to the next meet already...
