Narrow block head?
-
I am looking for a good head for a 262 narrow block. My '50C6 came with an aluminum head, but mine is seriously corroded in the water passages. I had an iron head on it, but it has a crack in one of the combustion chambers. I bought an iron head from Bill Albright, which he refunded my $$ for when it didn't crack check, cracked in all 6 combustion chambers. I have found lots of wide block heads, but where have all of the narrow block heads gone.
If someone has a good narrow block aluminum head that they are willing to sell, please let me know. I would also be happy to find a good narrow block iron head. I am going broke magnafluxing heads! Help.
I am doing a total rebuild on my '50C6 sedan, this head business is really holding me up. Thanks.

I'd be surprised if Mr. Albright doesn't still have a pile o' narrow 262 heads "out back". If not, these things should be easy to find. I've got a couple of 'em myself, but digging 'em outta my own pile and shipping 'em from Minnesota would make 'em "mighty spendy" for ya', as we say up here.Workin Stiff
