My first non-Hudson classic...
-
Just thought I'd share my first non-Hudson hot rod with my Hudson family.

STREET LEGAL!
Sorry about the picture quality, only had a cell phone at the time. I haven't been able to spend a whole lot of time with it due to work constraints, but I have made a few bumper marks on the pavement. Should be a good parts hauler!!!

Custom front springs, drop-blocks out back, Clifford 6-2 headers exiting out back shotgun style, Pertronix, and Flames!
1964 Chevy C-10 Longbed, 396/TH400 lowered just enough and \"easy to touch up\" Black paint.
2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor
Caved in quarter and fender. Bad paint. Non-True-Trac heap. But it's paid for. -
Well, it looks like you're in the right frame of mind... (i.e., it's a pickup truck!)

Nice looking Chevy... I am assuming that you've got airbags, hydraulics are very expensive!
In all honesty, when looking for my 'first' old truck I was thinking of a 1953 Ford - I like the looks of the 40s and early 50's Ford Pickups... Was 'browsing' old pickup sales on eBay, and came across a '47 Hudson, and never looked back. Didn't buy that truck, but eventually got what I have now - just sort of accumulated them... -
Body dropped and bagged all the way around. I don't know a whole lot about it yet, but it runs and drove once I added 3.5 quarts to the trans. Supposed to be a 327/700R4 combo.
I would love to have a Hud truck, loved the 46-47 since I was a kid, but I can't bring myself to cut one down to lay frame like this one does.
Plus, it was a price I couldn't pass up factoring in the amount of work that has gone into the chassis, bags system, and drivetrain.1953 Hornet sedan Twin-H

I like it. Here is my 66 GMC I use to haul my Hudson parts around. Its a solid truck and I like the looks.

Cool ride. I like the stance of it. I was always partial to the early 50's fords, but bought my Hudson truck when I found it...
