Our regional TV market is currently airing an add that includes my late Uncle's Hudson dealership as well as a current picture of my 48 Commodore 6. The original picture includes my uncle standing at the drivers door, his sales manager behind him at the rear fender. Behind the car are his mechanics, many of whom were with him for all of his years in the car business.

Hanson Motor Co. was in business in Bloomington, IN from 1920-1970. (founded by my Grandfather)

The current picture is of my car and the current residents of the building.

After the Second World War my uncle built this building and obtained the Hudson Dealership. He sold Hudson from 1946 until 1953.

It is nice to see an ad with a nod to the history of where they are. Most places would rather you forget what was ever there. Thanks for sharing this piece of your history.

Nice photo and good memories. I bought my first car from Hanson Motor company. The problem here is that the company I bought my first car from was in Brigham City, Utah and the dealership was a Chevrolet dealer and I bought a 60 Thunderbird.....Sometimes memories are all we have to cling too...

    Hi Tim

    Very nice to see Video,

    What was your grandfather's name?

Will put it in the listing for the dealership in the Hudson dealer book.

My Grandfather died in 1932. My Uncle Forrest was 23 at the time and took over the Chrysler dealership. They closed the entire shop during the war with my Uncle continuing to drive his Diamond T wrecker bringing work to his garage staff at their homes.

So Sheldon to answer the question it was Forrest Hanson who had the Hudson Dealership. 1946-1953
