1951 v8 ford flathead
-
i got a 51 v8 ford flathead im trying to rebuild but thats about all i know about it, it is all riped apart and the block is getting cleand and checked for cracks. do i need to know the cubic inch to start buying parts or not? i want to buy the isky #88 cam because i want to put 3 stromberg 97 carbs on it. is that a good cam? i was also going to get some duel springs and adjustible lifters for it to. but i am new with this so what do you think so far?

FYI
I am not a flathead expert but feel your local machine Shop can determine the bore & stroke (Cubic In) to obtain necessary rebuild parts.
Isky and Summit Racing both have Tech Dept's that will help your Cam & lifter selection depending on your intended use whether Street or Strip....
