wheels on a 40 Hudson coupe

I'm looking to put some new wheels on my 40 coupe and was wondering what other people have used.
It looks like I might be able to get 50s on the back (ford rear end)any suggestions if 50s compared to 60s makes any difference? But am not sure what is the right size for the front is because I don't have the original wheels and I don't want to be hitting the fender wells, by the way I do have a wheel adapter up front.
