Another Spring Question
-
The half spring on top of all the leaves,is it mounted forward or aft on the main leaf. Also, is this stock or was it added at some time?
-
41, I can't find anything in the '42-'47 shop manual that mentions that half leaf. If it's clamped at the center like the other leaves, I'd guess it goes rearward, which would help reduce rear-end squat when you start out.

Thanks Park. Makes sense. I don't know if someone fooled with these springs, ordered them extra or what. I want them correct putting it all together. Trying to get the body back on the frame for body work. All panels are finished just waiting to be put back on.
