'47 Pickup Gas Tank Parts Needed
-
Hello,
I had the gas tank for my 1947 Cab Pickup refurbished by Gas Tank Renu, and am to the point where I want to install it. However, I need the sending unit and the pickup unit for the tank.
The incorrect tank I removed from the truck had the sending unit and pickup tube combined as one unit. If I am seeing the illustration in the Mechanical Procedure Manual correctly, the 1947 tank uses two separate units.
Can anyone point me in the direction of the parts I need? Going by the manual, they would be the Gasoline Tank Strainer, Gasoline Suction Pipe, and Gasoline Tank Gauge Unit.
Thank you in advance, and take care,
Steve Bryson -
Contact Paul Schuster in PA. PAULLARGETYPE here on the forum. He carries new reproduction sending units, and if I remember right, has correct ones for 47? . . . not positive, but I think he does.
