The original coil is bolted to the fire wall under the hood on the passenger side. The ignition wire from the key goes to the back side of the coil and the terminal on the front, under the distributor to coil ignition wire goes to the distributor. If using a new coil, key wire goes to negative, marked minus (-) and the distributor wire goes to plus (+). Walt.? - How do the primary wires hook up on the coil on a '47 6 cyl. Hudson?
