Hey everyone...first post here. Through my girlfriend I have inherited a 68 Pontiac Catalina Convertible that was her dad's. Took it out for the first time a few weekends ago...put in a new battery, checked the fluids, started her up and off we went..ran great. We took it out again this weekend and the bugs are starting to show up. I've dealt with old Landcruisers so Im not surprised. I think I have some electrical problems; dome lights that wont go off, when the fan blower motor runs it drains the battery....stuff like that. I am also curious about getting parts....how available?, online sources?....any suggestions on the best places to get started giving the girl some love would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Dome lights won't go off.......... Is the headlight switch in the correct position? Do all the door switches function properly?

Fan blower motor drains battery......... Does it seem to draw an excessive amout of power? Have you done an amperage draw test? Do you drive it in the cold months that you need it? More then likely it is the motor itself.
