Reading this intriguing and well-written biography deeply impressed me with the dynamic and capable leadership exhibited by Roy D. Chapin throughout his life. The breadth and quality of his contributions to the automotive industry and to the country at large are matched by few people. His many talents are carefully laid forth in Long's book. Many who check the forum will have read this book, and many more should.:)

Amazon may be the easiest source for ordering this book. I sent my copy to my son in Washington........and only hope that he remembers to return it to me.

Great book, while ordering get 'Fun at Work, Hudson Style' by Harry Kraus, Sr. - Lots of fun Hudson stories in that one.

Yep you can buy it from the HET club store. Very good book. One thing that was interesting was Chapin's interest in having Hudson branch out into the Aviation business after his trip to europe to study other auto and aviation companies. The man did his homework. Hudson never had as good of leadership after his passing in '36.
