That was very interesting. Thanks for posting. I had heard stories of the Circarama, but never saw it and didn't know the full history.
Ub Iwerks was a genius. He had been with Walt Disney since the beginning as an animator. Mickey's full feature was 28 minutes long, and Ub illustrated every frame. Completed in just two weeks, Ub had to draw 700 frames EVERY DAY for the full two weeks to complete the feature. He is considered the fastest animator, ever. -
I was doing some research on a line of my Father's family and found that one of my Grandfather's distant cousins was actually the Vice President of Nash-Kelvinator. He is the one that convinced George Romney, then President of Nash-Kelvinator to sponser an upcoming show that a fellow was wanting to start. That fellow was Walt Disney. Might explain why I have always liked Hudsons. This is a link to that information and has a bit of not commonly known information.

Great story Bob, thanks for sharing. How is the SWasp coming along? Since moving to Florida has this allowed more garage time?
-
Ken,
I did get out and start working on the Wasp the other day and will continue, but all the fun things to do around here are interferring with working on the car. I would say that when it gets cold this winter, I will work on it more, but it doesn't get cold here. I have been thinking that I might sell it, as my interest have changed a lot in the past year, but am still mulling that over. The old car scene is much more active here than most places and my wife and I have really enjoyed going to some of the area meets. I'm not going to make any snap decisions and just keep on working on the car.
Bob
