big tires

i want to put a lift and way bigger tires on my pickup do i have to change the gear ratio if so how do i do that

I bought an "EDGE" digital programmer that allowed me to put in the exact size tires and it figured out what the proper gear ratio should be. It also allows me to change it if I'm towing or want to race. Kind of spendy though. I think I paid 400 for it. And that was after a discount.
