69 New Yorker value??
-
I'm selling soon and have NO idea what to ask for. So many pluses, and yet some minuses. Help!
I have a 1969 Chrysler New Yorker 4-door hard top, V8 440. Straight body, little rust, runs perfectly - I've pretty much done everything mechanically except for the transmission and engine. Have the original owners manual, odometer reads 89k. Stock AM radio, 4 cigarette lighters, auto windows.
Minuses: Upholstry on most seats needs to be repaired, headliner needs repair, some holes/tears/cracking in vinyl top (I'd say its 85% nice though). Clock doesn't work, interior roof light doesn't work. Trunk leaks in the winter.
I have searched a lot and have never seen a 69 New Yorker like mine for sale. Thinking it's pretty rare. Any ideas?
Thanks for your time! -
The biggest plus is that 440 engine. If it has multiple carbs you have something somebody wants.Namely a big block Mopar with a multi carb intake manifold that someone can install on a two door stealth muscle car. Wth regard to four doors....well don't get your hopes up very high. There may not be many 69 New Yorkers around but there's no line waiting to get them either. Put it this way if you really like the car keep it and enjoy it. If you are bound to sell it my guess is that it will be around the 5-K range.
