I have tried an impact, breaker bar, pb blaster, torch and it still will not budge. Any suggestions. It seems to be a regular threaded saet up so I have been trying to loosen it a normal, this did not work so I tried the other direction as well. Any pointers would be great. Thanks:mad:

Are you talking about the nut on the rear end pinion shaft ?

Someone may have put some locktite that requires heat to get it off on it .--BUD

Examine it closely, someone may have put a tack weld on it.

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply. Yes I am talking about the nut on the spidle shaft bolt that the yolk slides over. There are no visible welds. I tried heat but maybe not for long enough. Is there anything damageable when I heat the nut? How long should I heat it for, currently I have access to a propane torch that hooks up to my lantern propane can. Thank you again for taking your time to help with my problem.

The propane may not get things hot enough, quick enough which is what you really want to do. You will probably destroy the seal though and it's not the best thing for the bearing. I have never seen one that stubborn that a good impact won't take off.
