Identify late model Ford V8 Flathead
-
I purchased a 37 Ford Pickup with a newer V8 Flathead. I was told it is a 1953. I know it is newer because the distributor is in the front. I have searched all the Flathead sites to try and figure it out but can't. On the heads it has EAB and on the other head it has EAB D D102. On the passenger side of the motors bell housing on the back of the engine I found E1221. The engine is RED. I checked the http://flatheaddrag.com/birthday.html site and where they say to look (intake gasket face), all I see is an E. Can't find any other numbers on the block. Anyone have any suggestions on what year this is and what model motor? Also is there any other locations to look or reference sites. Sorry just got the truck and this is my first Flathead AWESOME!!
Thanks
