Wiring Harness Removal Question
-
Hello Fellow Hudsonites,
Currently I am in process of removing the wiring harness from the engine compartment. All wires have been disconnected. I am now at the firewall and want to know where are the connectors are.

Hudson stepdown wiring harnesses are point to point wiring... at the firewall the under hood wiring passes through a rubber grommet. This grommet is held to the firewall by a metal ring which has two sheet metal screws. Remove the screws and the ring can be removed from the grommet. (The ring is actually hinged and allows the ring to be removed from around the wiring harness. The grommet can then be removed from the firewall penetration hole. The opposite end of each wire is descretely connected under the dash to another electrical point via a terminal on the effected system.

Seems to me there are some headlight connections that run from the dimmer switch up through a dimpled recess under the left front fender at the firewall. The easiest way to access these is to remove the left front wheel, then the splash panel at the back of the wheel opening.Workin Stiff
