I have a '51 pontiac sedan delivery. It's number is 1369. They only made 1382 that year. I'm looking to do homework to track down and document it's history. I have the VIN, but haven't been able to find anything except the names of the first possible owners. Anyone know how to track the history form the beginning? Thanks

Talking to any owners may help, but most of the time they will not remember who they sold the vehicle to or bought it from. You can try the local DMV but they may not help do to the privacy act thing. Maybe the Pontiac Historical Society can help but I don't know if they go back that far. It's all worth a try but tracing the history is almost impossible.

Hey Ron thanks for the help. I actually called Pontiac directly, however, they couldn't give me anything specifically for my vehicle, but for 50 bucks they said they would send about an inch thick worth of paperwork....we'll see how it goes

How did you come up w/t a phone number were someone would talk to you?
