American Independents display day in Australia.
-
Today the 17th May, we held our annual American Independents Day display, I know this is not the date for independence day, but as about 40 Aussie's are heading for the National in July ,we had to bring it forward, we do usually hold as close to the 4th July as possible.
We had in excess of 60 cars turn out, and what a beautiful day it was.
We had, Hudson-Essex-Terraplane-Rambler-Studebaker-Packard-Willys-Overland-Graham-Franklin and a few non independent vehicles.
The local free to air TV channel turned up, local papers, and numerous budding photographers all taking shots of the cars, so good publicity for our clubs here in Australia.
Our own club had about 20 odd of the cars , so a good showing of HET AMC vehicles.
You can check out some of the cars on the web site of
Cars of Australia.
This guy turned up late so a lot of the cars had already left for home, he had already been to two other car shows and called in to ours on the way home, you can check them also.
Bowral show and Berrima show. -

Did find several "diamonds" among the jewels - think one is Huddy's 42 and there's a beautiful Essex in there too.
