This is the car that Geoff Clark has resurrected for me over the last couple of months, after being laid up for 28 years! The list of jobs done is as long as my arm and include rings, valve gear, timing gear, water distribution cover, radiator hoses, fanbelt, dizzy overhaul, new leads, gearbox second gear, gearbox bearings, universals, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, tyres, some wiring, exhaust manifold welding and levelling, muffler and lots of other small things like the brake light switch.

I flew up to his headquarters and drove it back home 380km through some very scenic mountainous terrain, actually quite remote and thank goodness the old girl ran like a top, pulling strongly up the mountain passes in top. Mileage was 15mpg (13.3 in US galls) reflecting a worn carb and tight engine at an average speed of 47mph.

I did a couple of top gear acceleration tests today 20-40 and 30-50 both in 6.3 seconds so it's going quite well.

It's the 67 series with twin sidemounts, and did have electric hand. The original colour was metallic light green.

that's great to have it back on the road AND you drove it a long distance home showing your confidence in Geoff & the '36 Hudson 8.

Looks like a a very nice car, at least you went to the right man for the right job, we are so lucky to have a guy down under with so much knowledge, hope to see it at the 100 anniversary meeting in Cambridge
