Headers on my Hash
-
Does anyone know if the Clifford Shorty headers will fit in a 55 Hornet? I think the car will run much better with more open exhaust and I miss the rumble of twin pipes. I know I can get the stock header split in two but I would really like to put on headers if I can. Any ideas or opinions are welcome.

Headers work a lot better than the factory exhaust manifold.
A few years ago I did before and after dyno tests on a 54 Hornet, first with the stock exhaust fitted and then with headers fitted. The engine was in the same state of tune for both tests, and the headers gave an extra 7 or 8 HP at the back wheels. -
With non removable inner fenders, you would have a very difficult job!
Might have to learn Yoga! -
I Would Say No I Don't Think They Will Fit
