Help new to packards

hey whats up i am jon and i just got a 1956 packard clipper super with a 352 packard motor and a trans i dont know anything about packards i am a oldsmobile guy i have a 75 cutlass i know everything about gm cars but not a clue about packards so if anyone can tell me some info it will help alot
whats types of fuilds do i use just regular oil i would use in my cutlass or is it special also the windshield is shattered and i was wondering if a window from 55 chevy belair would work it looks the same and just any info on the motor and trans again i have no clue i have every part and extra so if i dont use some things im going to sell tehm so if u can help me with some answers it will be really helpful thank you -

You might also want to join the Packard Club http://www.packardclub.org/ . If you go to the REGIONS link at left side of page you'll see if there are any active local clubs in your area. You might find someone near you with a car like yours, who can offer you help and advice. Clubs are good for that.
I seriously doubt the Chevy windshield is gonna fit, they were two completely different cars. All cars of that era had windshields that looked similar. Chances are that you can find a decent used windshield if you're on a budget. Of course if you have the dough you can get a newly-manufactured one! -
The Chevy windshield theory has been going on for some time. From what I understand, the measurements are the same, but no one knows 100% sure if it would fit.
