Hello gang:

This is a 5-speed 1953 HEAVY duty transmission with Power Take-off (PTO), from the South TX area, not far from San Antonio; currently in Memphis, TN 38138.

I have what appears to be a Direct Drive Clark transmission, because:

1) cast into the side of the trans housing is "C-90101"

2) the 5th/DD gear in this tranny is achieved when it is shifted to the 'rear', according to the knob's shift pattern, plus one of the guys I talked to told me the same thing; i.e., a Direct Drive trans.

An "Over Drive" (OD) trans is in 5th/OD when shifted to the 'front', based upon my research and counsel.

On the flip side, the shifter top plate is marked "C-90102"; probably insignificant and interchangeable info.

5-spd DIRECT DRIVE gear ratio's.........................OVER DRIVE gear ratio's

C-90101...............................................................C-90102

The info in the above chart needs verification; not guaranteeing it's accuracy, but it should be close.

Some tranny information sources to call and counsel:

1) Drive Train 1-800-627-0700

2) Edwin, Truck Parts Specialist, 901-332-7000, 757 E. Brooks Road, Memphis, Tn

3) CNS Transmission (my transmission man), Walnut, MS 1-662-223-4999 (Chris or Jim)

I have the bellhousing, flywheel, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, clutch arm, emergency brake assy, shifter/top plate assy, etc; this was removed from 1953 Ford F6, with a 6 cylinder flathead engine ("M" 254 cu in). All of said parts go with trans if sold.

Condition, UNKNOWN; turns ok. Looks OK, but needs complete disassembly, pressure-washed and checked for any wear, painted and resealed/reassembled. I have pulled the top off and drained the grease out. Can send photos via e-mail. I suggest that it be disassembled and checked at CNS transmission; honest folks; I can deliver it to them for you; 65 miles from my home.

Sold as is (best offer, next couple months), before or after examination and rebuilt; if Chris rebuilds it he possibly offers a GUARANTEE. If you buy as is, I'll pack everything onto a pallet and deliver to a local shipper for shipping; you make pre-paid arrangements to ship. Will ship overseas too.

It needs to be moved/gone in the next couple months, one way or the other!! I prefer someone to put it to good use, hauling those heavy loads. Maybe you have this type tranny already and might need it for parts in the future; better prepared than sorry!

I hate the thought of selling it for the scrap weight when it could be used in a show vehicle or put to work. Let me know your thoughts; thanks

I was told that it had 50K miles on it when it was pulled for restoration (the car) and then the motor was pulled apart and he had the heads rebuilt. The motor is still apart and as far as I know complete. With it is a Offy 3x2 intake that has never been put on a motor. I bought it new for this motor (no carbs for it). I need to get $600(what I have into it) for everything. It is located in NW OH and can sit here for a while if paid for till someone can come for it.
Selling my 1954 Ford F-100 truck project. My son and I started it and have done quite a bit of work including rebuilding the engine, rear end, radiator and transmission. This was started as a frame up restoration, so all original body parts have been removed, sanded and primed. Where we could, we have saved and cleaned original parts to be used for re-assembly. Presently, all parts, new and old are boxed and stored and we began to inventory what we had and what was needed to complete it. This is where the project stopped. Our enthusiasm and motivation have waned and it is time to say goodbye to this. I am asking $4000 for the truck. We originally paid $2000 and our receipts show over $8000 additional spent working on it.

I would be happy to sell this for $4000

I have a 32 Chevy Confederate that is very nice. It has a all new wood floor panels, wood lattace interior roof, red and white interior. It runs very good and looks good. It was restored about 7 years ago. I am looking for a 67 Camaro and would consider all even trades. Any comments on what it might be worth? I will get some pics up soon. Thanks. I know what NADA says but thought some of you might be more accurate.

I am looking for the black 79 Malibu that my husband sold in order to buy my engagement ring and put a downpayment on our house. I would like to buy the car back for our 10 year anniversary.

I believe the car was bought at the Jefferson, WI car show by someone from Illinois.

Please help! If you think you might have this car and would be willing to sell it, or you know of someone who bought a car with this description at the Jefferson swap in 2003, please contact me.
