      <description><![CDATA[I have been on the Forum for some time now, and have a question or two regarding same. I recently, on another forum (nameless), got my A-- in a sling looking for information on selling some parts, so don't want to step on anyones toes here.<br />

Number one--Are there any specific rules about selling cars or parts?  Could I list a few Hudson items I might want to part with on the General Forum?  Also, I have seen many cars for sale, so am assuming that is OK. Please let me know if there is ANY problem.<br />

Number two:  I see postings that include albums from Photobucket.  I finally mastered the procedure for posting pix on Craigslist, don't and can't find any clues about posting a Photobucket album.<br />

Number three:  I can't seem to find any specific rules for use of the Forum since I perused the Registration form when I signed up.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Number four:  Should I have posted this in the general Forum or is here in the Discussion OK?  If this has to be moved, how do I do that?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[This evening I was outside with my youngest daughter and I missed a phone call.  As I was checking my caller ID, my wifes phone rang.  The number on my ID was an odd number , like 25061.  My wifes call was similar, like 98340...<br />

She answered the call, it was automated " This is Visa debit account services calling to let you know your account had been locked for security, press 1 to proceed and re-activate your account. "  She cautiously pressed 1 to hear " Enter your 16 digit card number to proceed."<br />
<br />

At that point she hung up and called our bank.  They confirmed this very common scam where the automated system will prompt you for all of your information and take you to the cleaners.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
BEWARE if you get these calls.  It makes me sick that people earn their living stealing from people with these kind of scams.  I wouldn't have posted this but I have never heard of this one before.  The crazy thing is within 20 minutes, all three of our (mobile) phone lines received the same call...<br />

      <description><![CDATA[Hey guys this isn't for a Hudson but could anyone recommend a good source for radiators and heaters cores, either NOS or reproduction.<br />

Even re-coring seems to be expensive these days even IF they'll touch it.<br />

I'll be honest I'm not a really religious person - but I agree with at least 7 of the 9 principles and COMPLETELY agree that there are more of us than them.<br />
<br />
Basically We Surround them premise stems from his belief that if you look at the real political divisions in this country its more like 15% Far Left Liberal, 15% Far Right Conservatives and the remaining 70% is made up of you and me as a mix of democrats, republicans, indies!<br />
<br />
There's a get together in Gig Harbor I think I'll attend, it's at 2PM pacific time - but hey, I got no job to go to - maybe I'll go meet with some like minded people!<br />

Real simple to do - fill out a form, have your HET membership number handy, because it asks for it.<br />

2nd thing was there is a "members only" classified section - you have to have an email account to access this area.  You have to use the user name and password you used to set up your email account.  Right now there are two ads posted - the web master has a nice looking 1953 Super Jet for sale (under cars) and I put an ad for my handbook under Hudson Collectibles, then sub-folder "Books (Magazines)".<br />

Thruout I've found the new site to be pretty much user friendly - there will be improvements, I'm sure - some of the links are out of date.  But that's to be expected as the web master is picking them up from other sources and the owners of said links need to work with the web master to get them fixed.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[Well - I've been "Obamanized" - my programming contract was cut today after almost 2 years because the small company I was working for has lost business.<br />

I really loathe people saying that this mess was caused by Bush and/or Republicans because the House and Senate have control over the budget and the Democrats have had that power for the last 2 years... in which they have presided over the deterioration in the economy and consumer confidence - their answer tripple the budget!<br />

I'm not going to FREAK out yet - but I may need to change some plans if a new gig doesn't present itself sooner rather than later.<br />

Mostly - to start - I'd probably need to off the 50 Super and parts I've gathered for it<br />

Being retired I always go out for coffee and a biscuit in the morning, well when I got home the back door was smashed in and they made off with our 40" flat screen TV a laptop, wifes jewelery and my stash of money in my dresser drawer. They had to know my routine and how much time they had, wish I came home a bit earlier !!  They didn't get into the extra garage where the Hudsons are. We live in a culdersac and our area has never had this kind of problem before. I don't have a gun, but will buy one tomorrow. This really burns me up !! I guess this kind of thing will be on the increase with the economy in the dump. I feel a little bit better now, Richie.]]></description>

I just got the glass bead cabinet cleaned up - I bought the thing from a friends bodyshop that got tired of it "not working" correctly. It's a siphon feed and they were complaining about the media clumping up all the time and material not coming out of the gun nozzle.<br />

Well it's no wonder...see the GREASE all over the inside

So I hosed the thing down with degreaser and hand polished the outside - I know...it's pretty AR...but I can't help myself..doesn't make sense to not clean it right!<br />

I bought 100 lbs of glass bead and am now ready to start blasting the Twinh parts! Whoohoo!<br />

      <description><![CDATA[I would love to say at this point that I am driving the Pacemaker to the national next year.  I have been planning on it, but there are a lot of obstacles between here and there.  For me, it would be 550 miles and 10 +hours of interstate.  477 miles of that is I-75, so getting lost shouldn't be an issue <img src="/forum/plugins/NBBC/design/smileys/smile.gif" width="" height="" alt=":)" title=":)" class="bbcode_smiley" />  I'd love to take only the Hudson, but 6 people with luggage is a full load, even though a few of the people are small.<br />

I need to do some work on the car first, the major items being steering work and fuel tank refurb and line replacement.  Also, I need to finish putting seatbelts in.<br />

I'm just throwing this out there to see what others are thinking.  A caravan of Hudsons moving up I75 would be a cool sight too, maybe a "Twin H Power Tour".  The latest WTN has a scheme in there regarding this, it would be great if it works out.  At this point I'll say "I'm in!".   Of couse, my better half is not sold on it completely yet.<br />

I'll start this with "Red" Burke, Fort Bragg, CA., who drives one of his Hudsons at least once a week.  He can usually be found @ one of the local Grange  Hall breakfasts most Sundays.  Usually preaches the "virtues" of the Hudson Auto.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[I find this pretty amusing, with people talking about their <b>40' Hudson</b>, meaning "forty-foot long Hudson", rather than a <b>'40 Hudson</b>, which is the proper way to abbreviate a year.<br />

The apostrophe goes BEFORE the number if you are talking about a '37 Hudson, or if Gramps was born in '29.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[Kinda sad feelings today.  I just finished detailing the 52 "Salt Flats Racer" preparing to sending it to its new home this week.  The 52 has been with me for almost a decade through the rebuilt.  I say rebuild because it was built as a driver and we did have some wonderful trips togeather.  It even supprises me as to how original it is today--it did not start out thatway.  Anyway, sad as it is, it is gone to make place for a car that I just could not live without (ever heard that before?)  I have the 39 "Martz" Roadster in build process, but this really nice 36 4-door came along that won my heart. (that makes two under construction today.)  I mentioned to my understanding wife that this would be the last one!  She has heard that for the last 40 years...  I thought my "dream build" would be a "32 something."  Not fussy, coupe, sedan, roadster or whatever.  But, when I had one, I sold it for another project...  So, what would be your-If I can only have one car-Car?  :confused::confused:]]></description>

I need to do 1 more housekeeping chore...organize the toolboxes ~ then I'll start on this car with a vengence!<br />

      <description><![CDATA[The white took some extra coats to cover - it has a satin finish which is fine for non-sliding but overspray would stick to it like a magnet - so I decided to put a couple coats of clear over it as well.<br />
<br />
I've got the heat cranked up and when it dries for a couple of days - I'll need to move a bunch of stuff and finish around a 6' x 18' area of the floor to finish the "paint booth" side - so its going to yet take more time before I'm working on my cars!<br />

it aint perfect but looks good for now!<br />
