This car was pretty destroyed when I got her, and still needs a lot of TLC.
The Flames I hammer out with a ballpein hammer.

I have already purchased a running Chevy Nailhead for her, and a servicable Jag IRS.

Uncertian what I am going to do about a Trans yet, I like system in the Veyron, but can't find tose in the Junk Yard yet.

And I like building me Hot Rods with a learning curve in Alt Fuel. I have already done the Moonshine and LP, this one I am out to try Water hence her Name Fire Water. Of course, as the Duality of that name sugests, I can also run her on Moonshine if I utterly fail converting her to Water.
I question to you all is about the fiberglass body you can purchase. Does anyone have any pro's and con's to using this body vs the completely rebiulding the body to stay original? any opinions welcomed here.

Hello all, I'm new to this forum and have a couple newB questions regarding airbags. I have never had them on a vehicle before and got a car a bit ago that has them. So, the issue i'm having is that when I try to raise or lower the rear of the car it does nothing but click once....I flip the switch up or down and a single click every time I hit the switch sounds. It seems to me its coming from underneath the car just behind the drivers side door. Has anyone had this problem? Could it be a fuse, switch issue? I have zero knowledge when it comes to bags....

The front work just fine.

Hey all, newbie here. I hope I can get some solid help and input with my newest venture.

I purchased a 52 Merc Monterey 2 door hardtop. Great condition on the body and chassis. It is a basket case that came complete with all the trim and such and just needs to be put together....now for the good part.....

The car came with a 302 ford short block bored 30 over, but never reassembled....I have the heads, but everything else will have to be peiced back together. It also came with a C-4 trans with roughly 50K on it. I narrowed my decision on this thing to two scenarios regarding the engine and driveline....1. I purchase a turn key crate motor and rebuild the trans to handle the power, or 2. I have a friend who has a 53 Ford with the original flathead with 87 K on the motor and trans (supposedly). If I go this route, she would be closer to original, but those flatheads only had 125 horsepower. Can they be turned into powerhouses or are they pretty much as powerful as they could ever be from the factory?

I need some input to help me along my way....

Thanks in advance

I am a new member here and look forward to your help and input. I have purchased a 52 Merc Monterey basket project....all things present. It is as solid as can be, but one problem....someone replaced the original rear end with a Chevy leaf spring rear end.....damn stupid move on a car with no rot or rust anywhere underneath, but neither here nor there....what's done is done. Anyhow, it is not squared up in the least and seeing as thought the perch's are still present, I would like to relpace it with a proper model rear end. I am running a built 302 and need input on a rear end for this beauty...Any suggestions?

I have a 53 Sunliner as well as a 53 Merc Tudor Sedan and want to lower each one at least 2 in. and add disc brakes. I was told Granada/Monarch spindles and brakes can be made to fit by reaming the stock A-arms. Does anyone know if this is true and if so where can a reamer be found. I anticipate having to replace the spindles w/ drop items and may cut the springs to get the total drop I'm looking for. Thanks
