For the ladies out there in the Hudson world, I have added a new forum entitled "Hudson Gals" to the website www.hudsoncollector.com. Hopefully the ladies who tirelessly work to help make this hobby so special can use this forum to exchange ideas, plan events, seek or sell cars, parts, or memorabilia, chat, or just keep us posted on the female perspective of this great hobby.

There's no question that without the unwavering support we Guys enjoy from the Gals we love so dearly, the hobby would be a mere fraction of what it is today. Thank you, Vicki, for suggesting this addition to the site. I've no doubt it will be vastly richer for it.

I need to replace sheet metal - floor / trunk pans, inner rear wheel wells on a 37 Hudson 122" wheel base car. I've found a guy in Dewart Pa to the work and fabricate any parts however its expensive. I'm trying to locate a parts car to keep the cost down. Models 73/74/75 have the 122" wheel base and the frame dimensions are the same. So I believe pans would be the same. Does anyone know of a parts car out there? Robbie Williams is also helping me on this project.

No, no, no - not dead bodies - jeeezzzz Louise!!! Fellow name of Mike Smith in Auburn, ME, called me yesterday. Seems he has 4 1934-1935 Hudson bodies he would like to find a home for.

2 - 1934 Coach bodies;

1 - 1934 Sedan body, on frame, with trunk;

1 - 1935 Sedan body, with trunk.

He also has a couple hoods, some other odds and ends and what may be a 1933 grille.

He's asking $1,000 for the whole lot. Sounds reasonable to me - if the sedans have doors, there's a couple hundred each for the doors alone, I should think.

And that's all I know about it - his number is (207) 786-4795. I did forget to ask him best time to call, but probably after 5pm.
They were made by the famous Thompson Products so they must be late 1950s or earlier. They are so long I think they might be for a huge flathead but I don't know. I'm hoping some Hudson enthusiast might have a valve application catalogue or some experience with large engines and could tell me what they fit. It's driving me nuts!

I'm wondering if anyone has seen Dave Sollon's HudMobile with the illuminated "HUDSON" on the tail gate? COOL, Dave; you & Ken are class acts with your restorations.

Anyway, my question about the deck handle's plastic badge (HUDSON); I'm wondering if anyone knows where to purchase one that has not been paint- or otherwise-treated on the rear of the letters (HUDSON).

I would like to purchase a new, replacement badge with "clear" letters, plus the red background as usual. My idea is to install a 12v 7" LED strip light (18 bulbs) behind the badge such that when the ignition is on it lights up behind HUDSON, and it will have it's best effect at night (v. day time).

Anyone know if this has been accomplished already?

Hello out there in hudson land, does anyone know what the decal thats on the clutch booster of a Drive master or vacumotive drive equiped stepdown Hudson says. I am trying to have these made. I have an old clutch booster that has a part of the decal still on it. I can make out "Bendix Aviation" and "South Bend Indiana" but I can't make out what the other side of the decal says. Any help would greatly appreciated. I'm restoring my 48 Commodore 8 convertible and I am trying to make it as correct as possible.
Thanks, Charles Salvato

All: The following email was sent to me today. As you will read, the originator has a number of Hudsons. He would like to resell those that he does not use in his streetrod project. I am presenting as sent and do not know the person either personnally or by recommendation. I have " doctored' His email with HET so take that off when communicating.

Dear Sir, I have just acquired 9 Hudsons from 1949 to 1953 (I think). Although my first car was a '53 Jet, I am not familiar with all the models in these years, but your website and others should help me ID these cars. They are all different and include 3 Hornets 2 Pacesetters, one Super Six and some Commodores. Two are coupes, the rest 4 doors. All are quite rusty, especially from the door bottoms down, but several have complete drive trains. Some glass, trim dash stuff, one push button radio, Hornet steering columns and wheel, etc.

I may save one as a custom project, but most are for parts. Feel free to pass this info on.
Thanks for your great website, David Harrelson
