Hi. about 12 years ago, I bought a 36 Terraplane, never got around to restoring it and finally sold it to somebody who restored it.

I just now found a box with 2 plastic trays full of original screws and bolts which I carefully collected from my car and 2 other rusty ones that I found in an abandoned junk yard. There are also: 1 door handle, 2 dome light housings, 2 of the body pieces that attach to the metal strip between the 2 front windows, 2 inner rear view mirrors (complete but not pretty), and - the highlight of this collection - an unused, very nice looking, plastic piece of the hood ornament (flying cigar). It has only very faint scratches on it. The back tip has a very small imperfection that you'll only notice when you move your finger over it and will not at all be noticable when mounted.

I don't usually read this forum, please email me at:
I TOOK THE STAINLESS OFF ON THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR, AND WHERE IT GOES AROUND THE BODY TO MATCH UP NEAR WINDOW SHIELD,. THERE SEEMS TO BE A SCREW TO HOLD IT DOWN.
Here's a group of cars that we got rid of around 1990 or so, we got a package deal on 5 hudsons, 3 of them were 49 super sixes, and one was a 50 commodore 6 and another was a 50 commodore 8. The commodore 8 was especially rough, and the commodore 6 was a close second. other than the roof problem on the one 49, at least two fo them could have been saved, by today's standards... The commodore on the trailer is the commodore 6, and the one in the background is the commodore 8. Also, the green commodore with the weeds all up on it is the same commodore 6. Sorry, I don't have a picture of the last 49, right now...

Them scammers on ebay just don't quit. I just discovered I had an interest on a fishing boat up for bid - "You expressed your interest in an item titled - GREAT FISHING BOAT AT A LOW RESERVE - (Item #4591896377) by bidding, however the auction has ended with another eBay member as the high bidder. In compliance with eBay's Policy, the seller of that item is making this Offer to you at your bid price of AU $1,600.00 because winning bidder was unable to complete the transaction or the seller has duplicate items for sale.If you accept this offer, you will be able to exchange Feedback with the seller and you will be eligible for eBay Services associated with a transaction, such as Fraud Protection." Fraud Protection - really!!!!!!!

So. I fwd'd the email to spoof@ebay.com - and said that they really should set up a security department, larger if they already have and that this continual scamming does their business no good. Ebay is investigating. Wonder if this is the same guy trying to sell that street rod Hudson out of Scotland couple weeks back. That was one fast car - West Coast to Massachusetts to an Army guy in Scotland --- in less than a week!!!!! Fast Hudson that was.

For the ladies out there in the Hudson world, I have added a new forum entitled "Hudson Gals" to the website www.hudsoncollector.com. Hopefully the ladies who tirelessly work to help make this hobby so special can use this forum to exchange ideas, plan events, seek or sell cars, parts, or memorabilia, chat, or just keep us posted on the female perspective of this great hobby.

There's no question that without the unwavering support we Guys enjoy from the Gals we love so dearly, the hobby would be a mere fraction of what it is today. Thank you, Vicki, for suggesting this addition to the site. I've no doubt it will be vastly richer for it.

I need to replace sheet metal - floor / trunk pans, inner rear wheel wells on a 37 Hudson 122" wheel base car. I've found a guy in Dewart Pa to the work and fabricate any parts however its expensive. I'm trying to locate a parts car to keep the cost down. Models 73/74/75 have the 122" wheel base and the frame dimensions are the same. So I believe pans would be the same. Does anyone know of a parts car out there? Robbie Williams is also helping me on this project.
