I'd be interested in any comments, especially tips on how to determine an asking price, or if you'd like to buy it.

It's been in a garage for the past 5 years or so, but it was sitting outside for an undetermined number of years before I bought it. It doesn't run, but the body panels are surprisingly solid--most of the rust is just surface.

Located in Hollywood, FL. - Seller must be 'new' to Ebay, as they have apparently accidentally submitted the same car, on two separate auctions (?)
Description says it has an automatic transmission, and claims that the car was 'previously garaged' - Haven't they all been in a garage, at some point in their long and sorted lives... I guess I am too pessimistic.
Even in the photo shown, it appears to have some rust issues, at least it looks that way from the bottom of the front passenger door.

My '50 Commodore has finally made it into the paint shop where it's being stripped down to the nitty gritty in preparation for all the bodywork (not much needed) that awaits. It's actually a real solid car and no replacement panels were needed. Anyway, I almost hate to ask this question but are there any very good and reliable Chromers in Southern Calif that any of you would recommend? I am looking for show quality chrome. Hopefully that same business would be able to do some pot-metal chroming as well as straightening stainless trim and polishing.

Also, any recommendations for reconditioning and converting the dash guages to 12v as well as cleaning up the speedo and clock? Thanks in advance for you help.

I am working with Tim Cox at Quiet Ride Solutions to have him make a Firewall Insulator for 48 - 50 Stepdowns. He already offers one for 51 - 53, but I am sending him mine and he is going to use it as a pattern. Anyway, that is that. He asked me if all the holes in the firewall be the same for ALL 48 - 50 cars? I told him I thought this to be the case but would ask some club members to be sure.

So, the question is, "Would the firewall holes be the same for all models across 48 - 50". This does not include holes for options, would obviously could cut on a case by case basis.
Can anyone know what springs will work from which other vehicles and which Air shocks will go witht he stock springs mount. Lots to do with this PU. I will post more questions.

Hudson Service Merchandisers - 1949-1954

I have available, on 2 CD's, a complete set of Hudson Service Merchandisers from July 1949 (Vol. 1, #1) thru July 1954 (Vol. 6, #7), including a series of 11 Sales Facts bulletins issued in 1949 comparing Hudson to various other makes and one reprint from March 1948 Mechanic Illustrated of a Tom McCahill road report on the new 1948 Hudson.

These service merchandisers are loaded with tech tips and news about what Hudson was up to. The tech tips alone are worth the price. Each runs an average of 8 pages - some 12 - so there are over 450 pages of information.

Tho the originals were done with color covers we have scanned in black and white at 200 dpi to keep the file size down - otherwise we'd probably have to use 3 or perhaps 4 CD's. If you wish a paper copy there are several chain copy centers, like Kinko's, that can print from a CD.

Every effort has been made to produce clear copies - tho some of the pictures are somewhat dark. However, illustrations are generally bright and clear.

I'm offering this 2 CD set for $15, postage included.
