Hi Guys, I have been a long time Hudson Owner and Enthusiast, presently own a '33 Essex Terraplane and a '54 Hudson Hornet.Currently I am helping a family of a close friend whose passing left them with an abundance of cars(since sold, or donated to the Hudson Museum)and a fairly sizeable (pickup load) collection of early Hudson and Essex parts, mostly 4-cylinder Essex parts, including an engine and tranny, dissassembled. He owned a 1920 Essex touring, so I imagine a lot of these parts were spares accumulated over time. I'm not that familiar with these early cars, but there are carbs, distributors, valves, cams, and many misc. parts.I would like to find a buyer for these parts in one lot, as I am prepping the house for sale and must clean everything out,ASAP.They are located near Syracuse NY and you can reach me by phone at 315-224-3936.Make a reasonable offer,The early bird gets the early HET parts! Thanks, Scott

Ok, the front of the trunk lid (towards the back seat) on the drivers side is about 1/2" to 3/4" higher that the pass. side. I can push down on it, but it just springs back up. I have seen two other step downs that have the exact same issue and was trying to determine if this is due to a bad hinge, or if I should give it the old body man's trick and use some 2 x 4's to "adjust" the lid itself. It would appear that over time it might have just twisted or perhaps someone closed the trunk on something and pushed it up.

Before I go ahead and start adjusting, can someone tell me if there is a common hinge problem that I should be aware of??? I would have just gone ahead and done it already, but I just think it is weird that I have seen two other cars that have the exact same issue.
She put a 7 thousand dollar price on it and was offered 4,750 the last I talked to her. The car was a 1948 Commodor with an 8 cylinder engine, Standard Transmission with overdrive. It was a marroun color and had moderate surface rust. The interior was about perfect. Two side glasses were cracked. Engine would not turn over by hand. The car had 23 thousand actual miles on it. It was driven into a closed barn around 1972 and never started again. The chrome looked almost new. I probably should have bought it, but I am working on two restorations now.

All Roads lead to the 2005 Eastern Regional Meet

By: Carmen LaFlamme

Inquiries have been made about directions to the Best Western Hotel and Conference Center in West Springfield, Ma. for our Eastern Regional Meet June 24-26. Off of Route 91 in Massachusetts take Exit 13B, turn right at the end of the ramp and continue 1/8 mile. You will pass a Mobil Station and Friendly’s restaurant. Right after Friendly’s make a right turn and you’re there at the Hotel! Off of the Mass. Pike(I-90) take Exit 4 to Riverdale Street(Rte. 5 south). The Hotel is 1 ¼ miles from the Mass. Pike. It actually is very easy to find. If you have trouble finding us I will have my cell phone with me at all times. My number is (802)-324-1473 or you can call the Hotel at (413) 781-8750.You are probably better off calling the Hotel number because I can’t find my way out of a paper bag! But, I can find someone who can help you!

We encourage you to mail in your registrations A.S.A.P... The first 100 people to register will receive a goody bag and believe me they are worth more than $15.00. We’ve had fabulous items donated.

If you haven’t voted for the Eastern Regional Director your last opportunity to vote will be at the Saturday night banquet. The deadline for the mail in ballot was April 15th but you can bring it with you so that it will be counted. Candidates; Joe Stinnett and John Sherlock, will both be at the meet so you can meet them in person and visit with them.

Volunteers are still needed, so contact me if you are willing to help and I’ll steer you in the right direction.

Please send in your registrations and join the fun at the 2005 Eastern Regional Meet. It may be a few years before you get to see the wonderful Hudson, Essex, and Terraplane cars of the Northeast again!

You may contact Carmen at cwlaf@gmavt.net .
